After 4 years studying chemistry at New College, Oxford, Geof worked in the product development laboratories at Courtaulds in London for 12 years, gaining experience in polymer synthesis, coating formulation and customer service. He moved to Crown Cork & Seal in Wantage UK as Laboratory Manager, driving multi-million coatings cost reduction and claims resolution programs. In addition, he pioneered a more systematic approach to materials specification, enabling suppliers to get products ready for market in a shorter time scale.

In 2002 he joined Creo and relocated to Vancouver, Canada to build the chemisty team. This led to generation of $80+ million laser imaged thermal plates business. During the acquisition of Creo by Kodak Geof identified the need for significant improvements in the Vancouver region safety program and took on the role as Health, Safety & Environment Manager.

During the period to 2013, Geof took on some consulting work for clients in Israel, Ghana and Canada. Most significantly, he is the author of the 6 module Health & Safety course and exams used by Thompson Rivers University.

Reflecting Geof's adaptability and capacity to drive change, he took on a number of special projects at Kodak including: preparation of intranet databases, leading the quality program through a transitional phase, managing the facilities team and budget for Canada and leading regulatory compliance strategy for Canada.

In 2013 Geof established Jonacate Consultancy Ltd. and supports an international client base.
